In accordance with the agreement concluded in February 2019 between National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and educational organizations “Haileybury Astana”, “Haileybury Almaty” schools students of British schools were tested by the KAZTEST system for the first time from during the period from 3 to 5 June, 2019.
According to the language proficiency levels of the schoolchildren KAZTEST items were adapted and designed in simplified and basic versions (KAZTEST tests are assigned for adult population mainly). 20 students of Haileybury Astana school, 20 students of Haileybury Almaty school took testing in these two versions.
This test of KAZTEST system included four types of speech activities: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
Proposed dialogues, texts, essay topics and assignments are selected and compiled based on the curriculum of the schools. Linguists and methodologists specialized in the field of testology have taken part in development of test items.
As a result of testing, students were awarded KAZTEST certificates.
