Test Item Specification

Test Item Specification is one of the normative documents intended for test designers of KAZTEST system.

Test Item Specification determines the basis for test item design that used for Kazakh language knowledge level assessment of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreigners working in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Its aims:

1. to determine the test structure for Kazakh language knowledge level assessment of our citizens on different types of speech activities such as listening, vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing in accordance with the requirements of international systems.

2. to form database for test items that constructed in accordance with the National standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, defining communicative competence of Kazakh language knowledge and theories of pedagogical measurement.

3. to determine the content and themes for test materials of Kazakh language assessment.
